With busy schedules, family priorities, and many other distractions, settling on a date to make it down to Central Florida for our annual wild hog hunt was quite a task. Due to increasingly warm spring temperatures, insanely huge mosquitoes, and swampy terrain, we prefer to make this trip earlier in the year. As it turned out we didn’t make it down until April. Our good friends and staff members, Chet Maxcy and Charlie Peck assured us that the hogs were still very active and we needed to get there ASAP. There was no doubt that things were a bit wetter than normal as knee high boots were a must. We could not have been more fortunate with the weather as most of our trip consisted of overcast days and tolerable temperatures. As for the hogs, we found plenty! The hunt was a great opportunity for us to put our new Elite bows to the test. Each of us was able to take several hogs in front of and behind the camera. As you can see from the pictures, Robin and I arrowed a couple really nice boars on the last morning which topped of another great trip to Florida. A total of 12 Hogs hit the turf before it was all said and done! We can’t wait to share some of the highlights on AimnLowTV.
